Potassium Sulphate 00:00:50

Potassium Sulphate 00:00:50

Potassium Sulphate (K₂SO₄ or SOP 00:00:50) is a water-soluble fertilizer containing 50% Potassium (K₂O) and 17% Sulphur (S). This is a chloride tolerant K source that, as it is chlorine free K is ideally suited for chloride sensitive crops. The potassium sulphate is commonly used to improve the quality of fruits by producing more vigorous test basis, developing protein synthesis processes, improving crop yields, and adding Sulphur in plants, and improving the plant tolerance for stress conditions.

For the effective application of SOP, it is used through soil application, fertigation and foliar spray.

Benefits

  • High Potassium Content (50%)
  • Improves size, color, taste, and shelf life, resulting in better fruit quality.
  • Controls water absorption and increases plant cell wall stability.
  • Chloride-Free
  • Safe around crops sensitive to chlorides such as tobacco, citrus, grapes, and potatoes, minimizing the risk of toxicity.
  • Sulphur (17%)
  • Contains an important nutrient which aids with protein synthesis and enzyme activation and acts like a catalyst to boost the plant metabolism.
  • Improves Fruit Quality
  • Increases sugar (Brix) content, helps in fruit texture improvement and increases shelf life.
  • Increases Stress Resistance
  • Bolsters the plant’s resilience to drought, salinity, pests and diseases.
  • Boosts Crop Yield
  • It also gives balanced quantity of potassium and Sulphur, which lead to increased yield and quality of the crop.
  • Water-Soluble
  • Forms a completely soluble solution in water making it ideal for fertigation and foliar application for rapid nutrient absorption.
  • Enhances Nutrient Absorption Efficiency
  • Improves Soil Ability to Absorb Other Nutrients such as Nitrogen and Phosphorus.
  • Ideal for Saline Soils
  • Because of its low salt index, it can be planted in saline and sodic soils with little soil salinity problem.

Uses

  • Potassium Sulphate (00:00:50) is a product used in crops which require high potassium
  • Sulphur for yield and quality
  • Fruit Development and Quality
  • Enlarges size, colour and flavor of fruits so great for such crops as
  • Fruits: Grape, Citrus, Apple, Banana, Mango, Pomegranate
  • Vegetables: Tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic and leafy greens.
  • Chloride-Sensitive Crops
  • Useful for plants — such as tobacco, grapes, strawberries, potatoes, and other tender plants.
  • Oilseed Crops
  • Sulphur helps in the formation of oil, increases oil content and quality in mustard, soybean, sunflower, etc.
  • Cash Crops
  • Best suitable for sugarcane, tea, coffee and cotton is enhances the productivity and quality of the crop.
  • Fertigation
  • Applied per drip systems for efficient, uniform delivery of nutrients to the root zone
  • Foliar Application
  • Sprayed on leaves for a quick supply of potassium and Sulphur at key points of growth.
  • Soil Application
  • Serve as a basal or top-dressing fertilizer to supply potassium and Sulphur requirement of crops.
  • Saline Soil Management
  • Ideal in saline and alkaline soils, other potassium fertilizers can make salinity worse.
